In past there were many attempts to axiomatically define Number System.  Piano’s, Dedekind’s, Cantor’s and Von Newman’s System are few examples among popular approaches. The definition and construction of Surreal Numbers is another such attempt by Prof. J H Conway. However the name is introduced by D. E. Knuth  due to his book titled “Surreal Numbers”. In this talk we will start by defining Numbers and “<=” relationship. We will then gradually discover as many properties of Surreal Numbers as time permits.
